Spanish Immersion
The Spanish Immersion (SI) Program at PAUSD, established in 1995, has been educating students to be bilingual and biliterate for over 30 years. The SI Program is a program of choice serving both English and Spanish learners. This program is open to PAUSD students, K-5, of different backgrounds and abilities.

Social –
Language immersion programs prepare students to become global citizens in a multilingual/multicultural world.

Cultural –
Escondido's Spanish Immersion program promotes positive cross-cultural attitudes, an augmented understanding of cultural differences and an enhanced self-concept.
